Lewis Rumpler

Lewis Rumpler is a successful serial entrepreneur. His longtime interest in technology and specifically, biology, grew from his time at the University of Washington where he received degrees in Biology (BS) and Zoology (BA) in 1980. With a career spanning over 35 years he has served in numerous senior leadership roles, including CEO, COO and CFO, both for profit and non-profit enterprises and co-founded numerous life science companies. Most recently Rumpler was co-founder and CEO of Epigenesys, Inc., a molecular diagnostics company (acquired by Inherent Biosciences) and co-founder and CEO of Athira Pharma, Inc., a publicly traded biopharmaceutical company on the NASDAQ. Both companies were based on technology licensed from Washington State University. Rumpler served as Executive Chairman of Inherent Biosciences prior to its successful A round led by Propel Bio where he now serves as a Sr. Advisor. Rumpler is currently CEO of Alpha-Young, LLC. a biotech company in Jupiter, FL developing novel therapeutics for metabolic disease. He is also Executive Chairman of Zepa Medical, Inc., and Omnicia, Inc. both Washington companies pioneering digital health solutions and recently joined the board of WildeCare Education, Inc., a mHealth solution for specialty nurse training.
