Robin Pickering, PhD, is the Professor and Chair of Public Health at Gonzaga University. With a career spanning multiple academic institutions, she previously served as a Professor at Whitworth University, where she also directed the Women and Gender Studies program, and as an Associate Professor at Eastern Washington University. Dr. Pickering is an influential figure in community health, having actively contributed to several boards such as the Foundation for Healthy Generations, YWCA Spokane, SAN (formerly Spokane AIDs Network) and Early Head Start. In addition to her academic roles, she runs a consulting business focused on enhancing workplace gender equity, wellbeing, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) through strategic planning and systems change. Currently, Dr. Pickering serves as the Planning Lead for Inclusive Excellence for the School of Health Sciences at Gonzaga University.

Her scholarly contributions include numerous articles, podcast appearances, and book chapters on behavior change, women’s health issues, workplace equity, social justice, health risk behaviors, and sexuality education. Her recent book, "A Modern Approach to the Birds and the Bees," advocates for a comprehensive approach to sexuality education to promote health. A TEDx Spokane speaker, Dr. Pickering's insights have been featured in local, national, and international media, underscoring her influence and commitment to advancing public health and social equity.
